What Awaits You on the Tour?

The northern Dead Sea hides natural phenomena found nowhere else on earth. On this tour, we hike into the terrain to experience this power up close. It's not just a hike; it's a rare photo opportunity and an intimate encounter with the desert and the sea.

The Salt Cakes

The main attraction. We will walk to areas where the water has receded, exposing dazzling white salt layers in spectacular round shapes ("cakes") created by natural evaporation processes.

Salt Diamonds

If we are lucky, we will find "Salt Diamonds" - large, transparent, and glittering salt crystals formed by nature. Little treasures that are a joy to discover and photograph.

Colorful Sinkholes

We will observe active sinkholes filling with groundwater in stunning shades of turquoise, green, and blue. Our guides will explain this fascinating geological phenomenon.

Safety Guidelines & FAQ

Child Safety - Critical!

  • Infants: Must be in a carrier on you at all times. Holding in arms is strictly prohibited.
  • Walking Children: Must hold a parent's hand at all times, under parental responsibility only.
  • Strictly Forbidden: Running alone in the field is prohibited due to unmarked sinkholes.

What equipment is mandatory?

Closed, comfortable walking shoes are mandatory! The ground is full of sharp salt crystals, so flip-flops or sandals are not allowed. You must also bring a hat, plenty of water, and sunscreen.

Who is the route suitable for?

The route is intended for people with no walking limitations. The pace is comfortable but includes varied terrain of salt and earth, with slight ups and downs.

Do we enter the water?

No. This area is not a regulated beach, and the water can be dangerous. However, we get very close to the water line for spectacular photos.
